By booking our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Refund Policy. Please read this policy carefully before making any payments.

3. Deposit Policy

3.1 Non-Refundable Deposits

All booking deposits are generally non-refundable as they secure your date and represent lost business opportunity. Deposits typically range from 30-50% of the total service fee, depending on the service type:

  • Wedding Photography: 50% deposit (from £600 for packages starting at £1,200)
  • Portrait Sessions: 30% deposit (from £75 for packages starting at £250)
  • Event Coverage: 40% deposit (from £160 for packages starting at £400)
  • Commercial Photography: As specified in individual agreements

3.2 Deposit Application

  • Deposits are applied toward your total service fee
  • The remaining balance is due as specified in your service agreement
  • Deposits secure your booking date exclusively and prevent us from accepting other bookings for that time slot

4. Cancellation and Refund Terms

4.1 Client-Initiated Cancellations

Refund eligibility depends on when you cancel relative to your scheduled session date:

More than 60 Days Before Session

  • Deposit refunded minus 20% administrative fee
  • Example: £500 deposit = £400 refund, £100 administrative fee retained
  • Refund processed within 14 business days of cancellation request

30-60 Days Before Session

  • 50% of total contracted fee is forfeited
  • Remaining 50% refunded within 14 business days
  • This applies to both deposit and any additional payments made

Less than 30 Days Before Session

  • No refund provided
  • Full payment required regardless of cancellation
  • This policy reflects our inability to rebook on short notice and lost income

4.2 Wedding Photography Specific Terms

Due to the unique nature of wedding photography bookings:

  • Cancellations more than 90 days before wedding: Deposit refunded minus 30% administrative fee
  • Cancellations 60-90 days before: 60% of total fee forfeited
  • Cancellations 30-60 days before: 80% of total fee forfeited
  • Cancellations less than 30 days before: 100% of total fee forfeited, no refund
  • Postponement to a new date (if available) may be offered as an alternative to cancellation

4.3 Force Majeure and Extraordinary Circumstances

In cases of genuine emergencies or extraordinary circumstances beyond your control, we may exercise discretion in applying refund policies:

  • Serious illness or hospitalization (medical documentation required)
  • Death of immediate family member (documentation required)
  • Natural disasters or government-imposed restrictions
  • Military deployment (documentation required)

Each case will be reviewed individually, and we will work with you to find a fair resolution, which may include full or partial refunds, rescheduling, or credit toward future services.

5. Photographer-Initiated Cancellations

5.1 Full Refund Scenarios

You are entitled to a complete refund if we cancel for reasons including:

  • Photographer illness or emergency preventing service delivery
  • Equipment failure that cannot be resolved with backup systems
  • Unforeseen circumstances preventing us from fulfilling our contractual obligations
  • Inability to provide a qualified substitute photographer

5.2 Refund Process

  • Full refund of all payments made processed within 7 business days
  • Refund issued to the original payment method
  • We will make every reasonable effort to provide a qualified substitute photographer before canceling

5.3 Limitation of Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for services
  • We are not liable for consequential damages, travel expenses, or other costs associated with rescheduling

6. Rescheduling Policy

6.1 Client-Requested Rescheduling

  • First rescheduling request: Free if made at least 14 days in advance
  • Additional rescheduling requests: £50-£150 fee depending on service type and notice provided
  • Rescheduling subject to photographer availability
  • Multiple reschedules may result in forfeiture of deposit and cancellation of booking

6.2 Weather-Related Rescheduling

  • Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to severe weather at no additional charge
  • Final determination of unsuitable weather conditions rests with the photographer
  • Alternative indoor locations should be discussed in advance when possible
  • No refunds issued for weather-related rescheduling; service will be provided on rescheduled date

7. Dissatisfaction and Quality Concerns

7.1 Addressing Concerns

If you are dissatisfied with our services or photograph quality:

  • Contact us within 14 days of receiving your photographs
  • Provide specific details about your concerns
  • We will review your concerns and respond within 5 business days
  • We may offer re-editing, additional sessions, or partial refunds at our discretion

7.2 Quality Guarantee

  • We guarantee professional-quality photography consistent with our portfolio
  • Technical issues (e.g., focus, exposure problems) will be addressed through re-editing or partial refunds
  • Subjective preferences regarding artistic style are not grounds for refunds, as style is demonstrated in our portfolio

7.3 Limitation on Refunds for Dissatisfaction

  • Refunds for dissatisfaction are issued at our sole discretion
  • Maximum refund for quality concerns is 50% of the total fee paid
  • Photographs must be returned/deleted if a refund is issued
  • No refunds will be issued after 30 days from delivery date

8. Digital Products and Print Orders

8.1 Digital Image Downloads

  • Digital downloads are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded
  • Technical issues with downloads will be resolved through re-delivery, not refunds
  • Ensure you download images within the gallery access period (typically 90 days)

8.2 Print Products

  • Print products (albums, prints, canvases) are custom-made and non-refundable
  • Defective prints will be replaced at no charge
  • Reprints for printer errors or damage during shipping provided free of charge
  • Report printing issues within 14 days of receipt

9. Payment Processing and Refund Methods

9.1 Refund Processing Time

  • Approved refunds processed within 14 business days of approval
  • Refunds issued to original payment method when possible
  • Bank processing may take additional 5-10 business days
  • You will receive email confirmation when refund is processed

9.2 Transaction Fees

  • Bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the client

10. Add-On Services and Extras

  • Additional services purchased separately (extra hours, rush editing, additional prints) follow the same refund timeline as the main service
  • Unused add-on services canceled before the session date may receive partial refunds at our discretion
  • Add-on services used during the session are non-refundable

11. Gift Certificates and Promotional Credits

  • Gift certificates are non-refundable but transferable
  • Promotional credits and discounts have no cash value and cannot be refunded
  • Expired gift certificates may not be honored or refunded
  • Gift certificate terms are specified at time of purchase

  • No refunds if client fails to appear for scheduled session without prior notice
  • Late arrivals may result in shortened sessions with no refund for lost time
